Up and Coming

A little update about what we're looking forward to in the next few days:

• Flying from Malaga, Spain to London on Friday and spending the night there
• Flying from London to Kiev where we will be picked up by YFC people on Saturday
• Spend Saturday night and all day Sunday with YFC Ukraine team based just outside of Kiev
• Sunday night take the overnight train to Zaporozhye where we will be picked up by John Wiens
• Meet up with our friend Marina who has secured an apartment for us for the month of December
• From there we have a real estate agent lined up to show us apartments as soon as we're settled and want to start looking 

Praise God for His provision and His love for us!

It's been a wonderful month in Spain and we have met some amazing new friends which makes it extra hard to leave!

Halfway

It seems unbelievable that we're already halfway through our time here in Mijas.

In two weeks today we arrive in Ukraine and we're still working out some of the details - like where we're going to live. We had some people working on it for us but I think they've all given up but we do have a back-up apartment if we need it. I think we'll probably take it for a few days or a week or so and just look for an apartment on our own - that way we can be in the location we want and have the amenities that we need as well.

We have been enjoying our time here - we've been going to classes every day, getting to know lots of the interns and there are a lot of people traveling in and out so it's been great seeing some familiar faces from our last time here again.

Because most of the interns are American we are celebrating Thanksgiving this up-coming week with a huge feast for 50+ people so we're looking forward to that.

 It was finally sunny this past week so we could go down to the sea! No water acitivites happened because it is far too chilly and as of today we seem to be back to cloudy/rainy so that may have been our only time.

We finished all of our YFC paperwork this week! What a relief to be done all of that. This week we will have to work out some traveling logistics and hopefully be able to figure out whether or not we'll be visiting with the YFC in Kiev while we're there. 

Spain!!

We are back "home" in Spain!

The flights went as good as could be expected, MUCH better than our first trip out here when Dez was a baby! We arrived in Malaga on Thursday, November 1 and found out once we arrived in Mijas that we are staying in the same apartment as the last time we were here so it really is like being home.

Getting here on a weekend was nice - we had lots of time to relax and recover from jet lag (which Dez and Steve had no problem with at all, August and I.....had a little rougher of a time).

 

We don't have internet for the month so we've been running around to the epicentro and to the intern houses to make use of theirs.

So far it's been awesome being back and we forsee this as being a wonderful time of refreshment and preparation before heading to Ukraine at the end of the month. We plan to go to some classes, relax and we also have some YFC International paperwork to do this month before we go to Ukraine so we'll need to get that done and sent back to Canada ASAP.
