#JustYouth: February

We're back at it with #JY and to keep things simple while we were adjusting to being back we decided to do a big games evening.

To keep the flow of the evening going Steve preached his message first with the assistance of an old friend of ours, Helen, as translator.

We played a staring game and a no smiling game:

And we pulled out an old MCI classic with knights, horses and ladies.

We ended with big Dutch Blitz which is always a favourite.

Next month Steve will possibly be away at a floorball tournament the same weekend that #JY happens so we will most likely plan a movie night, which we've never done before. We had originally planned to do that this time but when we found out about the tournament we postponed it until next time. It's always nice to have a few low maintenance ideas in our back pocket just in case conflicts arise in scheduling.

Back in Zap

After terribly long but *mostly* uneventful travels (there was some screaming on one flight) we arrived back in Zap this past Monday morning.

Jet lag is never fun coming back this way but today is the finally the first day that I don't feel like I require a nap. Both boys are back in school already and all of our activities from last year have picked up again - Monday evening youth group, floorball, Wednesday supper with Steve's guys and evening drop in night at church and our small group starts this evening. We have #JustYouth this week so pray for that event - that the teenagers who attend will be open and ready to hear Steve's message and that we can plan a fun event that will continue to draw more people every month.

We're definitely on our way to being back in our routine and are looking forward to what this year will bring!
