Weekend

This silly blog has seriously taken me forever to create!! So I hope you enjoy it!!
Friday afternoon was a beautiful sunny 15 degrees so after lunch we all lounged around outside singing songs and hanging out.
It was SO nice out that we decided to have the afternoon session out there as well. This led to many things, boys wrestling and rolling people around in the sleeping bag that Steve had brought out to sit on. Friday night we had a boys' night/girls' night. The boys played poker and watched a movie, and the girls went to Rosanna's place for food, games and pool time.

Saturday morning Steve and I got a ride to Surrey to James and Vanessa's place. We spent the day with them and Marilisa who came over for supper and a movie. Sunday we went to church with them and then our friend Jaclyn (who worked with Steve at Future Shop a couple of years ago) picked us up and we went on tour de Jaclyn (something like tour de France but your butt doesn't hurt at the end of it). First place was lunch at Las Margaritas. Delicious Mexican food!! We got teas in Kitsilano and headed over to the cutest little shop EVER called Cupcakes. I TOTALLY want to start a shop like this in Winnipeg, or maybe there already is one that I just don't know about yet! Someone tell me if you knew about this and didn't let me in on it!! It reminded me of a shop at Disney World, very girly and cutesy. My cupcake was called Versace. It was marble cake with chocolate buttercream icing with a button on top.
Next stop - the beach! Not sure which one.... doesn't really matter, it's not like we were swimming anyways! From there we toured through West and North Vancouver and then headed down Commercial Drive for supper at Uncle Fatih's pizza (Fatih is pronounced Fatty). It was a little tiny shop with pizza by the slice and it was SO good!! By this time it was pouring so the only logical thing to do was to get some gelato! We went to this place that had a billion different flavours!! Seriously! Long Island Iced Tea, Wasabi, Balsamic Vinegar (it tasted like feet). Here is Steve enjoying his coconut gelato (I got chocolate chocolate chip cookie dough). Then Jaclyn drove us back to the Mark Center and the weekend was over once again. Only one full one left in Canada!!

You shouldn't write blogs about the different types of delicious foods you eat because it makes me really hungry and I don't think they offer all those foods here.
Good picts though and keep on keepin' on.

Dang! Life's a garden, dig it?! Remember that home is where you make it! Nice touch to the blog Jo! I love that elegant story telling, the choice of images, and the love that is poured into each one you write! It's worth all the time you slaved into it!

And so, thanks again for another look into the Jo and Steve Adventure at hand...almost off, eh? Well, I look forward to catching up with you and Stevo tommorow. Blessings girl!

- Matt.

p.s. I agree with Jer....keep on keepin' on my friends!!

I only see one problem with the out door wrestling. How are you going to put a whole in a wall that needs to be covered up with a picture outside? Oh well guess it could be fun. Hey did they have any crazy flavors like I don't know vinegar?

first - I LOVE LOVE LOVE Las Margaritas & am so glad you guys got to experience it. They make the most delicious raspberry margarita there - mmmm....
second - YAY for cupcakes!!! That place has gotten me through some rough times! I've been known to get the 6-pak and then eat them for breakfast, they're just that good.
third - I think the gelato place is called La Casa Gelato on Venables St. It holds some kind of world record for the most flavors of gelato (discusting or otherwise). They actually have a "pickles & ice cream" flavor - YIKES!
fourth - you were probably at Jericho or Spanish Banks beach - but your right, it doesn't really matter - plus it was WAY to cold to go to the beach on Sunday you crazy people! :)
if you have time this wknd to do some more sight seeing, just let me know - I'd be happy to show you a few other sites!
