I know that I'm astonishingly late with this post but here it is none the less. Our Just Youth event at the end of April was the last performance for our band....ever. Like, the band is done. They brought a lot of people with them from Molochansk for their last performance and we had a big crowd so in all we were somewhere between 80 and 90 people.
The band played five songs and then we played a group game.
The band usually plays popular music but because this was their last performance and Steve's message was about Easter we had the band play a few worship songs right before Steve went on, and it was awesome. Steve shared the Easter message and what that means for us.
After the message we handed out prizes for the volleyball league. There was a first place team who won a trophy (that we picked up at a second hand store and definitely wasn't for volleyball buuuut it's funny and no one reads English, ha ha) but even more importantly and highly stressed - the team with the best attendance received a bag full of treats for the whole team to share. This team showed up on time for every single game with a full roster of players and it was worth celebrating!
