This morning's breakfast....manna....which is ??? cream of wheat maybe? and what we HOPED were sweet bliny (like crepes with cherries or cottage cheese in them) but they had cabbage and chicken in them. A little disappointing....we North Americans like our sweet breakfasts!
I was helping Judy with the crafts for the week and the first day was chaotic....which is fairly typical of first days of things! Judy had a different craft planned for every day but it turned out that we worked on small stages of the same craft every day for the whole week! It worked out well in the end, despite not being what was planned.
Lunch......borsche, carrots, grechka but not buckwheat grechka....
...with beef or pork of some kind. Steve enjoying the meat, it might have been liver but we hope not. It was too good to be liver, ha ha.
Dez making friends.....like usual.
For the sport activity we did a quest. Quests are really popular for Ukraine...you just go to different stations to do a task and then once you've completed the task you get something, in this case it was a letter. We had 12 stations and 12 letters but you only needed 6 to complete a word to win. I think all the teams did all the stations anyways. One of their tasks was to find and carry the YFC Ukraine Director Sasha to a certain area.

Mid-day August always needed a snooze. Hot weather, lots of running around and playing just wiped him out.
Supper on Tuesday was potatoes with carrots, chicken cutleton (meatballs) and vegetables. Always with hot tea or compote (homemade fruit juice).
