On Wednesday we drove by Mr. Lenin at the port to see that he was all roped up and ready to come down! We stopped but it didn't look like anything was happening so we snapped a couple of pictures and then left. Unfortunately we had no idea when he was actually going to go down so we would go by to check and he was always still there. Finally we figured that today would be the day but we had other plans and thankfully there's a webcam channel that watches all around the port so we were able to catch the video a couple of hours after it happened! We have no idea where they're taking him too but it would be interesting to know. Also all of the street names have been changed - Lenin Street is now Cathedral street and that's the only one I have made special note of. There are other statues of other Soviet generals that have been taken down all over the city as well. The dam has some crests and things that will be taken off sometime soon as well. It's a very interesting time to be here, for sure!
