Volleyball League

We woke up to snow this morning and it lasted all day, but didn't accumulate. We haven't seen snow since we've been back and we didn't think we would get any because the past couple of weeks have been +15 and sunny....but not now. It sure was nice to have the Niva to drive to volleyball today!!

Steve started a volleyball league on Saturdays. So far there are four teams (Real School and three different Young Life teams) and this is kind of a trial from March until May and then if it goes well we'll try to branch out to different churches around the city to see if they want to have teams to start up a new season in fall.

Steve's idea for the league is modeled after what he did as ball hockey director for Youth for Christ in Winnipeg - each team has a Christian coach that leads a short Bible study and the team is a mix of Christian and non-Christian kids. We hope that some of the churches in the city will jump at the chance to be involved if this testing period goes well.
