Or maybe this was the actual position he spent most of his time in. 19 of the first 24 hours to be exact. They said that we were allowed to sleep and Steve took full advantage! I have to admit I was quite envious of him....I officially can't sleep in anymore. Friday morning I was up and ready to go at 8:30 a.m. Just to sit around silently all day.
Steve didn't spend all his time sleeping; He found plenty of opportunities to explore God's creation in the outdoors. He also got the chance to do what he loves best, take a poop out in the wild on the side of Fish Trap Creek. Thank-you to whoever so kindly abandoned that sweater, it was gladly appreciated because most of the trees out here are coniferous.
After the retreat, we spent the remainder of the weekend at James and Vanessa's place. Marilisa so kindly baked "the" birthday cake, which was AMAZING!! We went out for supper to Milestones and then relaxed at the Voth residence with cake and the Captain.
Sunday morning we went to Real Life Community Church which is a church plant in Surrey. James and Steve watched a movie while Vanessa and I swapped hairdressing skills, and we finished off our visit with a trip to Fort Langley and then yep, that's right....Starbucks. Thanks for the gift card Mom!!! And with that we're back to another week of learning!

Actually I think steve is constipated in that first picture and thats why when he was down by the creek things finally opened up for him. You don't need to lie your on a missions trip.
I LOVE that you mentioned the sweater/poop experience!!! I was hoping that would come up! haha.
