Jo's Birthday!!!!
Today was my birthday!! The day started out with everyone singing happy birthday to me at breakfast. We had worship first thing, 1 session before lunch and 1 after, and then the rest of the day was free time! Steve surprised me by taking me out for supper to Red Robin. It was weird not eating with other people! Then once we got back to the Mark Center, there was cake!! Ice cream cake from DQ.
After the cake we headed out to Castle Fun Park, which despite it's name, and how happy we all look in this picture, it really really sucked. No fun was to be had.
However, we did find a buck hunter game. It too sucked.
Travis, one of the guys from Abbotsford made a special request to the staff for my birthday that they run the "Jungle Jamboree". It was a bunch of creepy huge fake animals singing a birthday song and was actually quite terrifying. We tried to take a picture with the animals but we missed by about 3 seconds.

So tomorrow the silent retreat begins after lunch, so I want to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY BAILEY!! Because I won't be able to call or email, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!! Because by the time I can actually call on Saturday you will already be on the road! So I didn't do the whole holding up signs thing that Erin always does with her boys (because I'm not little and cute) but I love you both and hope you both have great days!!

im glad it was a fun day for you! and here you thought your birthday was gonna suck out there, see all you gotta have is a little fun doing random things and it doesnt matter where you are! way to go.
as far as im concerned, the mentioning of BC sucks no longer is taken into any official account, becuase views of you so called "scientists" are completely biased and untrue. To dispute my claim (which is no longer a claim but a FACT) that BC does NOT suck, you will have to take it up in a written format that has been notorized by a BC official, signed by the prime minister, and stamped with the canadian seal of approval. I happen to have said account authorized with all seals and signatures, and it officially states that bc does not suck. That is now official rule. Sorry Todd, since I am truly a scientits, i am the only one able to officially say "BC does NOT suck. It's science".
